THE NEXT DDS
Learning Objectives:
After listening to this interview, you should:
- Understand the principles of good leadership, and see how these principles apply to dentistry
- Learn tips and tricks to reach your potential as a leader in the dental practice
To be a leader in today's volatile marketplace is not an easy task. Those aspiring to be leaders in the practice may incorrectly assume that other dentists are successful because they make careful decisions. While this may be true to an extent, leadership is more more complex and depends on an individual's ability to make good decisions, inspire his or her staff, and share a vision with these individuals in a tangible and meaningful way. In this podcast Dr. James Fetsch, a self-proclaimed "CE junkie", provides instruction on leadership in the practice. Dr. Fetsch covers topics that enable tomorrow's practitioners to communicate their expectations, work more effectively with supporting staff, and achieve a more effective working practice.
*Dr. Fetsch is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and works daily with clinicians to improve their practice management—including not only staffing, purchasing, and administration, but their continuing education as well.
